Obedience, Manners, & Behavior Classes

Our classes emphasize proper leadership, as without that, your obedience work will mean little to nothing. Your success will depend on how much time you put into what you have learned.  We can assist you with preparation for obedience titling with AKC, Schutzhund, and North American Police Work Dog Association “NAPWDA”.

Because some of our trainers are professionals such as K9 Search and Rescue volunteers, Pet Search Specialists, Police K9 Trainers, Testify in Court, and hold other jobs, we will hold a class once it is filled. We can generally hold as many classes as we can fill, but there may be times of the year that we will have to limit the number of classes such as due to weather, court cases, searches, etc.

Contact Kim Willis to sign up for a particular class. We understand the puppy classes are of a timely nature and will do our best to start classes promptly. We can hold classes every day of the week depending on the events Rita has going on at the time.

Sign up now for classes to start in 2009. All classes meet once a week for an hour. For class details visit web site.

Puppy Socialization Parties

These parties are just plain fun. They do however have a purpose. It is a precursor for dog parks, a great outlet for burning off raw puppy energy, can be an indicator of temperament, can assist you in catching aggressive actions, and the owner learns more about pack structure and leadership. The trainers and owners talk about the behaviors they see and learn more about their pups. Start your puppy right with this great program.

Six-Weeks Fee is $60, minimum 6 puppies, maximum 30 puppies. We meet once a week for an hour. Age of dog is limited to six months and 45 pounds. You may add additional puppies for the six weeks at $30 each. Puppies must have had at least two sets of puppy shots, and be no younger then 9 weeks. That is because shots should not be given any earlier then 7 weeks, with two weeks in-between, hence 9 weeks. OR you can come for a one-time fee of $15 dollars if there is a class.

*If this event becomes popular we will consider holding open parties several evenings during the week.

Canine Good Citizen

8-Week Class (16 weeks and up) Fee $90, includes six weeks of training, and on the seventh week we will hold a mock test, after which you work on your weak areas. On the last week you will be given your official AKC CGC test. All this is included in your fee. Minimum of five students to hold class.
