Come out to our Next Open House
Open house is this Sat, Feb 13th.
Bring the dog and the whole family out to play on the agility
equipment any time between noon and 4:00 p.m.
Hope you can make it!


Classes start back Feb 15 and 16

We offer basic agility classes on Monday nights from 6:30-7:30 and on Tuesday nights from 7:30-8:30.  You do not have to attend open house to sign up for an agility class. If you can't make it out on Saturday just give us a call to reserve a spot for you and your dog.

While you're here, ask about our adoptable Beagles.... we have all shapes, colors, ages, and sizes just waiting to be your next Valentine Sweetheart!


"An Agility Seminar with Blanche Cooper"
February 6 and 20, 2010

We are VERY excited to have the opportunity to host this training seminar.

Blanche Cooper, from Canada, is conducting a 2 session seminar at the FDC, with each session lasting 4 hours. Blanche owns her own dog training center; and trains for and with Susan Garrett. Susan is recognized world-wide as a leading educator of dog trainers. Her program "Say Yes Dog Training Inc." is one of North America's leading dog training facilities. Blanche is one of Suan's instructors, and runs her own facility as well.   Rita Phoenix is happy to discuss this seminar with anyone interested in attending. Call Rita at 757-204-4411.

We have a 12 handler limit for working spots (unlimited for auditing....)

The cost is 100.00 for working spots and 30.00 for auditing.
This fee is for both sessions.

If you want to audit one session, the cost is $25.00

Sessons run from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. each day

Sessions will be held on Feb 6 and Feb 20, 2010



This Seminiar will be First come first serve.
Your spot will be reserved when payment is received.
We need 10 working spots filled to be able to hold this seminar.

First Session:  Jump Squares or Boxes (as the Canadians say it) and Handling
Second Session:  Weaves, Contacts and Course Work


This is a great opportunity for us local folks and Rita hopes you can take
advantage of Mrs. Cooper's amazing expertise and knowledge!

Beagles to the Rescue

Beagles to the Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity. They find homes for beagle dogs and puppies (and the occasional wanna-be beagle), most of whom live as guests of the Family Dog Club while waiting for forever homes.  Donations to BTTR are tax-deductible. BTTR dogs are featured on petfinder.com.
